Hi Sonya Thomas,

Is the test you took was for Masters Level / Intermediate?.
If it is, I will consider the ASWB materials vs SWES
or any one have experience to give any advice?

HI i took the LCSW exam and flunked. I used a test cd I had purchased two years ago and took the exam in August 2007 and flunked by one point. I took it again April and flunked by two points. Donna Anyone who has materials they would like to sell Like Dr. D's I would love to buy them.

I too took the test many times. Once in 2005 with a 73, once in 2007 with 74, once in 2008 with 73 and now in 2009 with 74; I used many different study materials, Dr. D's from 2 years ago. socialworkexam online, SWES and the ASWB; alot of good material but I just don't know what I am missing.

Yes I did and I did not pass; I think she has some really good points but I took all of the practice test, took the 2 day course, have even read some of her books. I also have the Audio CD.

Ok my advice is that you always answer scenerios with the least offensive answer it is about empowering clients and letting them have self determination. Also always , acknowledge feelings first, never contront unless a threat of harm to self or others. Do the least intrusive thing, least offensive. Remember that clients need to be treated with dignity, let them make their choices and support them.
It is wise to studythe DSM and knowledge of meds

I'm studying for this test like CRAZY! Did all the aatbs tests three times, read all the books, and still feel unprepared. Is this Dr. D a lot better than the AATBS?

Thanks,
Jayne

Dr. D's exam prep course came highly recommended to me. I took the two day course and about half of the class were MSW's who had failed the exam on their first attempt. Everyone felt much better after taking the prep course and felt better prepared. The two people that I know who have passed the Clinical exam, both took Dr. Sophia Dziegielewski's prep course. I believe you can find more information about her at: siri.com

If you take ONE seminar to study for your social work exam, you gotta take Dr. Dziegielewski's seminar - She is by far the BEST seminar teacher/leader in the entire United States. She's a Professor, has written many books many used as text in major universities and can break down any concept and make in not only understandable but also enjoyable! Please, if you hear of her giving a seminar in your area take it... It's worth it's price in gold!
