What state do you live in? What types of study material have you studied? I'm just wondering...if there are enough of us that are struggling if the NASW will help us out in some way. Continue
I took the master's level exam today for the 3rd time. I felt well prepared this time. I took a workshop through the NASW. Dr. Sophia Djegeleskia was the presenter. I am so discouraged about this test. I absolutely love my job as a discharge planner at our local hospital and I need to get my license. Does anyone have any suggestions or study material that is going to help me pass?
Hey =\ took it today. So crazy but the exam contained alot of culture information and research. I felt I did well and the score report showed high marks in alot areas but guess it didnot work out. I feel discouraged but I told myself I would not think or make myself feel that way. I am trying to pass the exam due to wanting to take and finish before I start my doctorate program. I do feel discouraged because always saying damn u didnot pass yet. =\
I have been thinking about you since the last time I took my exam and we both failed around the same time frame. I am going to take my exam very soon and I wanted to share with you the different techniques I used this time instead of just reading these books these different companies offer. So I did alot of flachcards ( my own) and everynight I reviewed them then I reviewed some of the material ppl would post on here( test and booklets with questions) then I did alot of questions ( I tried to do alot of questions that imply first until I got tired of what do you do first questions...( laugh)...I also did a prep course with SWES and I have their books..( I would say the course was very good but I took what they said and kept reviewing...Also to calm down I tried to keep away from ppl who failed and their negative thought about the test..because you will internalize those thought and feel hopeless. Although, I still hope I will pass. I had a dream I passed too so funny....but I will keep you updated on how this all went after the exam...Toshi =)

Yes we are still on for Thursday. I will ask my husband about a good place to meet. Also my number is 317-519-0639. This is my cell and I have it with me all of the time; if I don't hear from you by Wednesday, I will call you Wednesday evening to plan our meeting on Thursday. See you then.

Tiffani,
I really don't know the area very well; you tell me what would be good if know something about the area. The date and time sound fine. I can ask my husband what would be a good place to meet if you aren't sure.

My husband is going to school for computer electronics; he started his career in a family owned bakery business in St. Louis and then into sales with large corporations like Quaker, General Mills and Pillsbury. Then came "downsizing". He got let go after many years. This was shortly after we met in 2004. Then we came to IN to start new with another baking company called Gonnella. They manufacture breads and rolls for Marsh; well needless to say, my husband got injuried from doing other people's work like he was told to do, the company denied workman's comp, 2 back surgeries and a spinal fusion later and here were are. He had his spinal fusion in march of 2008 and two months later the company told him they were eliminating his job. So because we are older, he is ten years older than I am, he is having a hard time finding a job. I got him into vocational rehab due to his back limitations and they are funding most of his degree. Thank goodness with the cost of our tests!!
My kids are grown.............I will tell you more when we meet 2 weeks from tomorrow.........is that right?
It has been a busy week with the weather being nice.
I promise I will call soon unless he gets me to do other things when I come home again.
